Waterfront Lodging in SitkaThe Fisherman’s Quay is pleased to be a lead sponsor both of Change Your Latitude 57*North Open Water Swim 2012 on August 12, and the Sitka Sound Ocean Adventure Race on August 11, in Sitka, AK. We have reserved our North and South bunkhouse units for event participants and their support crews between August 6 and 17. We encourage you to come early and/or stay past the swim event to enjoy all the good stuff Sitka has to offer. Be sure to visit our FQ LODGING PAGE for details on bunkhouse accommodations and our activity resource guide—which we developed specifically with you in mind. The Fisherman’s Quay will be donating net proceeds from lodging at the bunkhouse between August 6 and 17 to Sitka’s Baranof Barracuda Swim Club— organizers of CYL-57*N, and to the Sitka Maritime Heritage Society—organizers of the Sitka Sound Ocean Adventure Race.. Since it is likely the bunkhouse units will be fully booked for the event, thus obligating us to refer people to more costly accommodations, we require full payment in advance. The rate per night is $25 for single bed, $45 for a double—all taxes included. We will provide refunds for cancellation two weeks prior to your arrival date, less a $100 cancellation fee. Sorry, but due to the demand we expect for lodging at the FQ, our low rate and processing expenses, no refunds can be made for cancellation within two weeks of scheduled arrival. Remember it all goes to a great cause! We can host up to 10 people in each bunkhouse unit through a combination of twin and full-sized bunk beds, and comfortable sleeper sofas in a cabin-style atmosphere. By staying in one of the bunkhouse units, you will develop a whole new group of friends before you depart Sitka—guaranteed.
