About The Loft

Two floors up on the outer dock, with original exposed timber overhead and handcrafted Ironwood counter tops below. Built for medium sized groups: the long family table and counter stools seat 13. You and your group will enjoy watching boats and float planes pass by while you dine!

The unit sleeps up to ten: one queen bed, four extra-long twins, one sleeper sofa, and two extra-long rollaway cots upon request. Two bathrooms, a washer/dryer and a fully equipped kitchen make it practical for a week rather than a night.

Downstairs is the working dock. Sport charter boats pick guests up directly from the Fisherman's Quay marina and drop them back afterward, and the day's catch goes into the on-site processing facility — fillet station, vacuum packer and freezers — at no charge. The kayak, canoe and bicycle fleets are free to use as well.

Getting around from the door

Downtown Sitka is a five-minute walk south along historic Katlian Street, past Ludwig's Bistro and the Pioneer Bar. Lakeside Grocery is a short walk north, Sitka Fresh Retail is two minutes away at the North Pacific Seafoods plant, and LFS marine supply — licences, tackle and raingear — is downstairs in the same building. Guests are welcome to the bicycle fleet, so many stays here need no rental car at all.

“The loft was a perfect location; close to town and the grocery store, and our fishing guide picked us up at our dock below our room. This location exceeded our expectations!”
